19th Century Bureau de Dame

Exquisite French Louis XV style 19th century marquetry Bureau de Dame.  Crafted in a bombé form and lavishly ornamented with scrolling acanthus leaf and floral marquetry, this impressive bureau is further accentuated by crisp brass mouldings and mounts. Opening on butterfly hinges, the front unveils a mahogany interior complemented by three fronted drawers and a concealed drawer.  The writing surface is of a dark burgundy tooled leather atop cabriole legs with scrolled brass sabots.
